Pedro Arriola, Manager Latin America
Mr. Arriola has more than 25 years of experience in senior management positions and in an advisory role with MSME banks and MFIs in Latin America. He has served as CEO of various ProCredit banks in the region, with responsibility in the areas of strategic planning, business development, MSME lending, risk management, finance and personnel management. In addition, with more than ten years of experience as a consultant for public and private institutions and international organizations, Mr. Arriola has a wide knowledge of the regulatory framework and banking sectors of many Latin American countries. For many years he served on the supervisory boards and audit and risk committees of member banks of the ProCredit group in Latin America.
Ashot Abrahamyan, Senior Banker
Mr. Abrahamyan has 18 years of banking experience, including experience in senior management positions in ProCredit Bank Ukraine and Armenia, as well as in Ardshinbank in Armenia, where he oversaw the institution’s SME and corporate business lines. Mr. Abrahamyan’s main areas of expertise are MSME and corporate lending operations, credit risk management, operational and financial risk management, anti-money laundering and IT. His consulting experience includes overseeing the successful implementation of a micro lending project with various banks in Armenia and working as a bank adviser in the EBRD Ukraine Micro Lending Program. He has extensive experience as a trainer in the areas of financial analysis and credit risk assessment. Mr. Abrahamyan is currently seconded to PJSC Bank Lviv, Ukraine, as chairperson of the management board.
Augustine Akowuah, Senior Banker
Mr. Akowuah has nine years of experience in development finance in Ghana across all levels of MSME lending. He started his career as a loan officer at ProCredit Savings and Loans and subsequently held the positions of credit coordinator, branch manager and regional manager. In 2012 he was then promoted to the institution’s senior management, with responsibility for the areas of lending and risk, particularly credit risk. In 2015, after ProCredit Savings and Loans was acquired by Fidelity Bank Ghana, Mr. Akowuah became a member of Fidelity Bank’s Integration Steering Committee, which guided the post-acquisition integration phase. In this role, he supported the development of new credit policies, standards and procedures for the bank’s SME lending operations. Mr. Akowuah’s main areas of expertise include MSME lending with a focus on agricultural lending and rural finance, credit risk management, and training and staff development. He has extensive experience as a trainer, with a focus on the subjects of credit risk assessment, branch management and loan recovery.
Barbara Asumadu, Principal Banker
Ms. Asumadu has more than a decade of experience working in MSME lending in Ghana. Her main areas of expertise are business development, credit risk management, and capacity building and training in customer relationship management, credit operations and branch management. She gained her experience in managing the credit cycle in various capacities at ProCredit Savings and Loans in Ghana, including loan officer, credit coordinator and branch manager. She later joined the institution’s head office as head of its Small Business area and subsequently head of training. Following the takeover of ProCredit by Fidelity Bank in 2015, Ms. Asumadu served as a key member of the Credit Management and Customer Retention & Branch Strategy work streams, which were responsible for defining and developing new policies and standards for the bank’s credit operations and branch strategy after the acquisition.
Natia Beria, Senior Banker
Ms. Beria has 13 years of experience in retail banking and customer service management in Armenia and Georgia. Her main areas of expertise are retail business development, business support and operational efficiency. Ms. Beria began her career at ProCredit Bank Georgia in 2004 as a customer service operator. She later led the bank's customer service department before joining the retail business development division and, in 2015, becoming a member of the extended management. From 2012 to 2014, she served as head of the retail banking department at ProCredit Bank Armenia. Returning to Georgia, Ms. Beria oversaw the successful implementation of a number of first-in-the-market services such as 24/7 banking zones and the development of cashless banking services. She is an experienced trainer and project manager.
Christina Bitter, Office Manager
Ms. Bitter has worked for over 25 years as a multilingual secretary and accountant in international companies. Over the course of her career, she has gained substantial experience in the area of finance, particularly in project administration and accounting. Her further experience includes project-related budget preparation, monitoring and invoicing. At ProCredit Holding, Ms. Bitter also bore overall responsibility for the administration of a large-scale employee-owned investment vehicle. A certified translator, she is fluent in English and French in addition to her native German.
Ketevan Burduli, Senior Banker
Ms. Burduli has more than 12 years of experience in development finance, including four years at the senior management level at banks in Georgia. Her main areas of expertise are business development, MSME and retail lending and credit risk management, and retail operations; further areas of focus are change management, training and personnel development. Ms. Burduli started her career at ProCredit Bank Georgia, where she initially served as a loan officer until her promotion to the position of retail credit coordinator and later to head of the business clients division. In 2012, she became a member of the management board of the bank, assuming responsibility for the MSME business line. As COO and later CCO at FINCA Bank Georgia (2015-2016), Ms. Burduli guided the implementation of a full range of banking services for business and retail clients. Ms. Burduli is a proven development finance and retail banking professional who has successfully led the business operations of MSME-oriented banks, ensuring institutional growth and competitiveness by improving efficiency, expanding the range of services, and carrying out capacity building at all levels of operations.
Oscar Ernesto Castillo Reyes, Principal Banker
Mr. Castillo has more than 10 years of experience in MSME banking, primarily in the areas of lending, credit risk management and loan recovery. Starting his career at Banco ProCredit Nicaragua as a financial analyst, he later moved to the credit area, serving as a loan officer/ business client adviser and working in credit control, loan recovery and portfolio management. He most recently served as head of the bank’s risk management department, reporting directly to the bank’s supervisory board in this capacity. Throughout Mr. Castillo’s professional career, training and capacity building for both professional and entry-level staff have formed an important part of his work.
Olga Fylypenko, Principal Banker
Ms. Fylypenko has over 15 years of experience at MSME banks in Ukraine. Her focus is on MSME business development and lending methodology, branch network and performance management, and staff capacity building and training. She started her career as an SME credit officer at PrivatBank and later managed key branch loan portfolios for Alfa-Bank. She then joined ProCredit Bank, the leading MSME bank in Ukraine, where she managed key branch portfolios before subsequently serving as branch manager. Most recently she served as regional business development manager for the SME business operations of Tascombank in southern Ukraine. Throughout her career, Ms. Fylypenko has consistently placed a strong emphasis on training and staff development.
Tamar Ganugrava, Principal Banker
Ms. Ganugrava has 14 years of experience in MSME banking. Her core competencies are MSME business development, lending and credit risk assessment, transaction banking development, branch network and performance management, training and staff development and operational efficiency. Ms. Ganugrava started her career as a loan officer at ProCredit Bank Georgia. As a credit analyst for SME business clients, she then dealt with credit risk assessment of SME loan exposures, subsequently moving to the bank’s head office in 2007 in the capacity of SME business development coordinator. In 2016 Ms. Ganugrava was promoted to head of the bank’s business clients department. In this capacity, she participated in the strategic repositioning of the bank to focus exclusively on SME clients, supporting the shift to larger-scale business customers, cashless online banking and a high degree of automation.
Evgenia Gashikulina, Senior Banker
Ms. Gashikulina has more than 13 years of experience in development finance. As deputy chairperson and executive director at ProCredit Bank Moldova, Ms. Gashikulina guided the bank’s transition from a finance company to a full-fledged bank during the years 2010-2015. In her previous position as head of the institution’s credit division, she was responsible for credit risk assessment and loan portfolio quality. Prior to joining the ProCredit network, Ms. Gashikulina served as a bank adviser in the microfinance facility of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Kyrgyzstan, where she was in charge of setting up microfinance departments in four partner banks. Ms. Gashikulina is a proven banking professional with a strong track record in line and senior bank management positions, as a consultant and as a trainer across a broad range of departments and in different operating environments. Her main areas of specialization are business development, MSME lending and credit risk management, change management, training and staff development.
Carmen Geil, Senior Banker
Ms. Geil has ten years of experience in MSME lending, green finance, marketing and human resources. She joined the ProCredit group in Ukraine in 2009, where she held various positions, namely regional manager, coordinator for energy efficiency lending and head of marketing and PR. In 2012 she moved on to Banco ProCredit Ecuador, where she became head of human resources. Across all positions held, a focus of her work was on improving the customer’s experience in terms of accessibility, service quality and suitability of financial services offered. Ms. Geil has extensive teaching experience, ranging from lecturing at universities to her role as an instructor at the ProCredit academy for Eastern Europe in Macedonia. In addition to her native German, she is fluent in English, French, Russian and Spanish.
Mariam Ghudushauri, Associate Banker
Ms. Ghudushauri has 10 years of banking experience in the areas of reporting and financial analysis. As a senior analyst and key financial analyst at ProCredit Bank Georgia, she was extensively involved in analysis of the bank’s operational and financial results and in forecasting, scenario analysis and budgeting processes. Through her many years of professional experience, Ms. Ghudushauri has developed a deep understanding of banking operations, combined with strong technical skills in bank financial analysis and financial modelling.
Mahmudali Guseynov, Senior Banker
Mr. Guseynov has 15 years of experience in international banking and development finance, with specializations in credit risk management, problem loan management and loan recovery, business development and personnel management. From 2013 to 2015, he served as head of business development at ProCredit Bank Germany. As a member of the senior management of the ProCredit banks in Georgia and Ukraine, he managed various areas, including credit risk, in particular during the period of financial and economic crisis in Ukraine after 2008. Throughout his assignments, Mr. Guseynov has established a strong record in capacity building among local middle management, selecting and developing high-potential staff for line management and senior management positions. In addition to his native Russian, he is fluent in English, German and Turkish.
Davit Hovhannisyan, Principal Banker
Mr. Hovhannisyan has 13 years of experience in development finance. At ProCredit Bank Armenia, he held positions including credit analyst, branch manager and head of very small business clients. In recent years he worked as a banking consultant, primarily in Armenia on behalf of the German Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (Sparkassenstiftung für Internationale Kooperation). In this capacity, he was involved in various projects to support financial institutions in the areas of MSME lending process efficiency, credit risk assessment, portfolio analysis and staff capacity building. In addition to his native Armenian, Mr. Hovhannisyan is fluent in English and Russian.
Vanessa Inácio, Principal Banker
Ms. Inácio has more than five years of experience in credit risk management. She served as head of the credit risk department at ProCredit Bank Mozambique and as a credit risk specialist at ProCredit Bank Colombia. During this period she covered all credit risk management functions, ranging from the development and implementation of products, procedures and lending policies to portfolio analysis, arrears management and loan recovery. A special focus of her work was local capacity building through classroom training and on-the-job coaching. In addition to her native Portuguese, she is fluent in English and Spanish.
Jonela Ketri, Senior Banker
Ms. Ketri has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of SME lending and credit risk management in Eastern Europe and Africa, combined with a ten-year track record as a trainer. Having gained lending experience in various roles at ProCredit Bank in Albania, she joined ProCredit Holding in Frankfurt as regional credit risk coordinator for Africa in 2008. In this function she ensured proper credit risk assessment in the group’s African entities, including the assessment of loan exposures that exceeded country limits. Ms. Ketri also carried out trainings and on-the-job coaching during numerous on-site visits to Congo, Ghana and Mozambique. Other areas of competence include IT project management and green finance. In addition to her native Albanian, she is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.
Beatrice Langefors, Principal Banker
Ms. Langefors has extensive experience in the areas of financial risk management, asset and liability management and treasury operations in Germany, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa. She joined ProCredit Holding in 2007 with initial responsibilities in the area of financial risk management, participating in preparations for group supervision by the German financial regulatory authority. As head of group treasury, she was later part of the team that founded ProCredit Bank in Germany. Ms. Langefors’ other areas of competence include IT project management, compliance, and controlling. With a background in mathematics and computing in addition to her training as an economist, she has an affinity for quantitative analysis and software assessment. Ms. Langefors is fluent in English and German as well as her native Swedish.
Alexander Levchenko, Principal Banker
Mr. Levchenko has more than 13 years of experience in MSME lending, credit risk management, branch network management and retail banking gained at ProCredit Bank Ukraine. Starting his career as a loan officer, he later became a regional branch manager, successfully overseeing the operations of a large branch during phases of economic crisis, consolidation and growth. He subsequently moved on to the bank’s head office, where he focused on business development, holding positions including business client development manager and head of small business clients. Mr. Levchenko is an experienced trainer in his fields of expertise. He is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and English.
Giorgi Lomidze, Principal Banker
Mr. Lomidze has more than 10 years of experience as an MSME banking manager. His main area of expertise is MSME business development, with a particular focus on lending, branch network and performance management, operational efficiency, and training and staff development. He started his career as a loan officer at ProCredit Bank Georgia and was later promoted to credit manager, and then branch manager, before moving on in 2008 to ProCredit Bank Moldova, where he spent two years as MSME business development and micro lending coordinator. He held the same position upon his return to Georgia in 2010. In recent years, he implemented new staff training systems at ProCredit Bank Georgia and supported the optimization of the bank’s branch network. Mr. Lomidze is an experienced trainer who has participated in numerous training seminars for branch staff on MSME lending and business development. He also served as a lecturer at the ProCredit Regional Academy for centralized entry staff programme.
Yevgeniy Maksakov, Principal Banker
Mr. Maksakov has more than 15 years of experience in MSME lending, credit risk management and training gained at ProCredit Bank Ukraine. After starting his career as a loan officer, he moved on to various positions at the regional level in Eastern Ukraine. He then joined the executive management, serving as head of credit and head of credit risk. Mr. Maksakov contributed to building a high-quality loan portfolio, both during the period of rapid growth up to 2008 and during phases of crisis management and consolidation thereafter. He has extensive experience in credit risk analysis and underwriting in MSME lending as well as in loan recovery. He is an experienced trainer in the field of MSME lending technology and credit risk assessment.
Natalia Osadcii, Senior Banker
Ms. Osadcii has over 13 years of experience in development finance, including six years in senior management positions. She served on the management board of ProCredit Bank Moldova, where she was responsible for the areas of private client business development (including deposit mobilization), front office operations, institutional organization and effectiveness, staff development and training, finance, and marketing and PR. Over the years, she led numerous complex institutional processes – shifting ProCredit Bank Moldova from a product-driven to a client-oriented approach, from a focus on micro customers to an SME target group, and from manual operations to automation of processes. Also, she developed the bank’s training department, including conducting numerous trainings herself, drawing in part on her own early career experience as a loan officer and regional credit manager. She is fluent in Russian, Romanian and English. Ms. Osadcii is currently seconded to PJSC Bank Lviv, Ukraine, as deputy chairperson of the management board.
Myroslava Pliasova, Principal Banker
Ms. Pliasova has more than ten years of experience in development finance with ProCredit institutions in Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America. At the institutions to which assigned, she focused on MSME lending operations, business development and credit risk management, initially at branch level and later in head office positions. Ms. Pliasova began her career in 2006 as a loan officer at ProCredit Bank Ukraine, later advancing to credit manager. In 2010, Ms. Pliasova was seconded to Africa, with a mandate to improve credit risk operations at the ProCredit Savings and Loans Co. in Ghana. In 2012, she relocated to Latin America, first to Banco Los Andes ProCredit in Bolivia and later to ProCredit Bank Colombia, where she served as head of credit risk. Ms. Pliasova successfully supported both banks during the transition to larger and more formal client segments, achieved higher efficiency in lending operations, and enhanced loan portfolio quality.
Nina Rauschert, Senior Banker
Ms. Rauschert gained more than ten years of experience within the ProCredit group. After a finance-oriented traineeship in Nicaragua and Germany and a one-year assignment in Albania, she became finance manager of Banco ProCredit in Nicaragua in 2006. As part of the senior management team, she was in charge of the bank’s accounting, reporting, controlling, treasury and funding functions. In 2011 she returned to Germany to join the finance team of ProCredit Holding. Here she was initially responsible for defining the group’s obligations to meet regulatory requirements as it came under supervision by the German financial regulatory authorities and implementing a compliance function accordingly. She later took on a leading role in the Basel III implementation project of the ProCredit group (EU CRD IV/CRR compliance), both on a conceptual and a technical level. Besides her native German, Ms. Rauschert is fluent in Danish, English and Spanish.
Christina Reifschneider, Senior Banker
Dr. Reifschneider is a senior banker with more than 10 years of experience in development finance and MSME banking. Her focus areas include institutional analysis, finance, risk management, particularly financial risk and asset-liability management, and strategy development. Before joining our company, Dr. Reifschneider worked in different senior positions at a leading international MSME banking group. She joined the group as head of group accounting, and later served as CEO of the group’s subsidiary bank in Mozambique. Returning to Germany, she then headed the risk management division of the German holding company with voting membership in various group committees (chair of risk committee), including the IFRS 9 steering committee. Dr. Reifschneider is an experienced trainer in the areas of finance and risk management. Besides her native German, she is fluent in English and proficient in Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Asmus Rotne, Senior Banker
Mr. Rotne has 13 years of senior management experience in banking and development finance. He served as CEO of the ProCredit Banks in Moldova, Georgia and Armenia and as deputy CEO of ProCredit Bank Romania. He has broad-based banking expertise, having directly managed areas ranging from business development – both retail and corporate – to risk management and compliance, as well as technical support functions such as IT and back office/payments. Mr. Rotne has gained a deep understanding of the banking business in Eastern Europe in different economic environments, starting from the period of strong expansion up to 2008 and continuing through the consolidation phase and the need for adjustments to business models in the years thereafter. Besides his native Danish, he is fluent in English, German and Russian and proficient in Georgian and Romanian.
Ardian Salihu, Senior Banker
Mr. Salihu has more than 10 years of banking experience in Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America. After he started his career at ProCredit Bank Kosovo as a financial and risk analyst, short-term assignments took him to Congo, Ghana and Germany. In 2010, Mr. Salihu joined Banco ProCredit in Mozambique as member of the senior management responsible for finance and risk management. In 2014, he moved to Banco ProCredit Ecuador, where he served as CFO/CRO with, in addition, a broad range of tasks in other operational areas and responsibility for overseeing a shift in the bank’s strategy, from a microenterprise-focused institution to an SME bank. Mr. Salihu has extensive experience in finance and risk management, institutional capacity building, change management and training.
Florian von Schoenberg, Principal Banker
Mr. von Schoenberg has seven years of experience working in MSME finance, including roles in business development, lending and credit risk management at institutions of the ProCredit group in Bolivia, Serbia and Romania and at ProCredit Holding in Germany. He joined ProCredit after completing a traineeship with the German development bank KfW and working at a private start-up venture, with tasks in the area of controlling in both roles. Mr. von Schoenberg’s expertise lies in lending operations, business development, and credit risk management of MSME-oriented institutions. Over the years, he has conducted numerous training sessions on credit risk management topics with a focus on financial analysis.
Kemal Seitveliiev, Senior Banker
Mr. Seitveliiev has more than 12 years of experience in development finance. He served on the management boards of the ProCredit banks in Georgia, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. His main expertise is in the areas of SME lending operations and credit risk management, operational and financial risk management, AML and IT. His consulting experience includes overseeing the implementation of a micro lending project at SekerBank, Turkey. In addition to his native Russian, he is fluent in English, Turkish and Ukrainian.
Vladyslav Shyperko, Principal Banker
Mr. Shyperko worked for over 10 years at ProCredit Bank Ukraine. His main expertise is in the areas of medium and corporate lending and credit risk assessment. Having first joined the bank as an SME loan officer, he subsequently served as head of business client operations (branch level), head of corporate lending and, finally, as senior credit analyst for corporate exposures (head-office level). Mr. Shyperko has substantial experience in medium and corporate lending during periods both of rapid business expansion and of economic and financial sector crisis. He has a strong background in training and coaching in his respective areas of expertise. Mr. Shyperco is currently seconded to PJSC Bank Lviv, Ukraine, as head of credit risk.
Michael Sowah, Principal Banker
Mr. Sowah has nine years of experience in MSME banking in Ghana. Throughout his career, he has focused on MSME business development, lending methodology, branch management, credit risk analysis and staff capacity building. Mr. Sowah first worked as a data analyst and research consultant before joining ProCredit Savings and Loans Co. Ghana as a credit risk analyst, later moving on to become credit business coordinator and then branch manager. Mr. Sowah is an experienced MSME business development manager who consistently places a strong emphasis on training and staff development and has led several teams of branch professionals to deliver top results.
Mahmoud Suleiman, Principal Banker
Mr. Suleiman has 12 years of experience in MSME lending and credit risk management in Ghana. He started his career as a loan officer and branch credit coordinator at ProCredit Savings and Loans in Ghana. In 2008, he first moved to the institution’s head office as deputy head of credit and was later promoted to head of very small and agricultural lending. At the same time he also served as a member of the extended management team. After the institution was taken over by Fidelity Bank Ghana, Mr. Suleiman was appointed asset and quality assurance manager to safeguard the quality of the institution’s MSME loan portfolio during the post-acquisition integration process. Mr. Suleiman has extensive experience as a trainer in the areas of financial analysis and credit risk assessment for MSME and agricultural clients.
Belinda Tace, Principal Banker
Ms. Tace has 14 years of experience in MSME lending and credit risk management, branch network management, retail banking operations and business development. She began her career as a loan officer at ProCredit Bank Albania. Ms. Tace later joined the bank’s head office, where she improved the efficiency and capacity of the SME department before returning to front-office operations, successfully overseeing the business development of several branches. Ms. Tace’s most recent position was as head of private client development, with countrywide responsibility for this area. Ms. Tace has extensive experience in training, including “train-the-trainer” programs, with a focus on business development, MSME lending and credit risk management. She is fluent in Albanian, English and Italian.

Ms. Tanchyk has over twelve years of experience in development finance with ProCredit institutions in Eastern Europe and Central America. She focused on MSME lending operations, business development and credit risk management, initially at branch level and later in head office positions. Ms. Tanchyk began her career in 2004 as a loan officer at ProCredit Bank Ukraine, later advancing to credit manager and branch manager. In 2011, Ms. Tanchyk was seconded to Central America, with a mandate to improve credit risk operations at the ProCredit institutions in Honduras and El Salvador. From 2014 to 2017, she was assigned to ProCredit Bank Colombia, where she strengthened credit risk management by enhancing lending procedures, streamlining key lending processes, and building staff capacity through training and coaching. In addition to her native Russian and Ukrainian, Ms. Tanchyk speaks English and Spanish.
Tamar Tkhelidze, Senior Banker
Ms. Tkhelidze gained 13 years of experience in retail banking in Georgia. She started her career at ProCredit Bank Georgia as a customer service manager, later moving to the bank’s retail business development department. In 2011, she took on the position of department head, and in 2015 became a member of the extended management board. For many years she was part of the core retail team tasked with developing ProCredit Bank into one of the leading banks in Georgia. Ms. Tkhelidze has proven expertise in retail business development, performance and personnel management. She is also an experienced trainer and coach for retail sales and customer service management. Ms. Tkhelidze is currently seconded to PJSC Bank Lviv, Ukraine, as deputy chairperson of the management board.
Oscar Villaseca, Principal Banker
Mr. Villaseca has more than 20 years of experience as a consultant and line manager in financial institutions oriented towards MSMEs in Latin America, with an emphasis on business development, lending operations and credit risk management. As a consultant Mr. Villaseca has focused on strategy development, planning and operational support in MSME lending projects in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Nicaragua. He has implemented targeted lending programs, with tasks including product design and the formulation of policies and procedures. In addition, he has supported various clients in improving their institutional efficiency. In 2010 Mr. Villaseca was appointed credit manager at Banco ProCredit, Ecuador, a position that he held until 2015. In this capacity, major tasks included staff recruitment and development, portfolio analysis, credit risk management, problem loan management and loan recovery. Mr. Villaseca has extensive experience as a trainer on topics in his areas of emphasis, namely business development, lending and credit risk assessment.
Andrei Zainulin,Senior Banker
Mr. Zainulin has 12 years of banking experience, including three years of senior management experience in Moldova. His main areas of expertise are MSME lending and business development, credit risk management and loan recovery, and financial and operational risk management. He is a proven expert in strategy change and institutional turnaround. Starting out as a loan officer in ProCredit Bank, the leading MSME bank in Moldova, he subsequently took on the roles of branch manager, head of business division and head of credit risk before joining the management board in 2013. At the end of 2015, he joined the management team organizing the successful turnaround of an MFI in Moldova. Mr. Zainulin is an experienced trainer on a variety of topics, including MSME lending, credit risk management and loan recovery.
